Øygarden municipality separated all services connected to water, sewage and sanitation in 2003 and founded Øyvar AS to carry out these assignments. Øygarden municipality owns 100% of the shares in the company. Øyvar AS currently has 3 sewage treatment facilities (mechanical installations) that receive sludge from approx. 20,000 person equivalents. In total these produce a total of 600 - 900 tons of sludge. 1.2 About the assignment The assignment is for transport from a sewage treatment facility and to an optional approved waste facility for sludge. Tenderers must be responsible for both transport and treatment of sludge, and are free to choose any collaborating partners. Sludge containers shall be returned to the treatment plant within 24 hours after collection. Collection and return of containers shall occur between 08:00 and 15:00. 24 hour notice will be given for collecting containers. Containers have a self-weight of approx. 3 tons and with sludge approx. 8 - 12 tons. Sludge production: (Mechanical installations) Storanipa: 400 - 700 tons/annum Crekjebærneset: 150 – 200 tons/annum Møvik: 10 - 20 tons/annum.
