The basis for this project is the development plan Elvegata-Havnegata with ID-nos: 1108 2016127 and the project aims to improve capacity and accessibility for Bussveien, as well as better traffic safety and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists in this part of Sandnes centre. New Bus Route touches the streets Julie Eges gate, Holbergsgate, Havnegata and Gravarsveien.
The bus route that shall be constructed between Elvegata and Havnegata, including a zoning place (parking place) for buses that are not on schedule. The total length is approx. 800 m. Julie Eges gate is planned as a 2 lane public transport street with cycle lanes, pavements and stations for boarding and boarding. The bus road will cross Storåna in a bridge in Julie Eges gate. In Gravarsveien, a public transport and lane is to be constructed between a roundabout at Havnegata to a roundabout at Maxi shopping centre.
