The objective of the monitoring programme is • Monitor the condition and changes of the condition for automatically listed cultural monuments. The programme shall provide an overview by registering and describing the condition and changes of condition for automatically listed archaeological cultural monuments of selected archaeological cultural monuments in ten municipalities. • Prepare simple analyses Based on the monitoring results, simple analyses shall be prepared in the form of cross tables, summaries and compilation of results that i.a. identify causes of loss and damage that have occurred since the last registration and threat pictures.

450 cultural monuments shall be registered in 2025 divided between Tromsø municipalities (201), Trondheim (181) and Horten (68).
In 2026 450 cultural monuments shall be registered in the municipalities of Kautokeino (approx. 100), Hustadvika (approx. 130) and Skien (approx. 220).
In 2027 450 cultural monuments shall be registered divided in Skjåk (approx. 105), Sandnes (approx. 180) and Lillesand (approx. 165).
In 2028 450 cultural monuments shall be registered in the municipalities of Bømlo (approx. 200), Sortland (approx. 100) and Saltdal (approx. 150).
In 2029 450 cultural memorials shall be registered in Sarpsborg (approx. 300), Modum (approx. 60) and Grong (approx. 90).
A total of 2,250 cultural monuments.
