The contract will be valid from 26.05.2025 until and including 25.05.2027, with an option for the Contracting Authority for 4 extensions of the Contract for 1 year at a time. The total contract period is maximum 6 years.

The products in this competition are strictly regulated for use in Norway. All radio terminals must through a type approval of DSB, which makes the selection of radio terminals very limited. In addition this is mainly a supplementary contract for terminals and equipment that is already in operation. Based on this, the contracting authority has assessed that it has little effect, or in many cases cannot be done, to use the environment as an award criteria. Based on this, the contracting authority has set minimum requirements regarding the use of environmentally friendly packaging in addition to minimum requirements regarding disposal of used radio terminals.
The determination of the minimum requirement will, therefore, give a good climate and environmental effect based on the contracting authority ́s nature.
