The aim of the procurement of a system for classroom management for PCs for the Oslo School is to facilitate effective education and learning by giving teachers better control over digital resources and activities in the class room. This includes features such as screen sharing, network control, application management and monitoring to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. The aim of the procurement is to cover the needs of a broadly composed pupil group and adapt to different disciplines and teaching methods. The tools shall be user friendly for both teachers and pupils, while offering sufficient flexibility and functionality to meet varying teaching needs. There are currently approx. 92,000 pupils in the Oslo School, of which approx. 40,000 of these are PCs. An efficient system for classroom management has already been established for iPads through Jamf Teacher and Jamf Student. These tools give teachers the necessary control over their students' devices so they can control access to apps, websites, and even completely lock devices when needed. Furthermore, these tools enable easy communication with students through the ability to send messages directly to their units. However, we face a challenge for PCs in the current school platform and lack an equivalent good tool for classroom management on PCs. There are approx. 40,000-45,000 students using PCs in the Schools of Oslo. Therefore, it is important to close this gap to ensure that teachers have the same resources and the possibilities to effectively manage digital learning environments, regardless of the type of device used in the classroom. The system for classroom management shall be integrated with the Oslo School's ICT system.
