Kvalitetskriterium (navn): We have considered in this competition that it is not appropriate to use climate and environmental considerations as a part of the weighting. As far as we are aware of this type of product, there are no relevant environmental certifications that we can use for weighting. Since this is also a one-time delivery, it is inappropriate to weight the transport of the product by 30%.
The transport of the goods makes up a very small part of the procurement in value, so the environmental elements in the transport would have had disproportionate importance throughout the entire procurement. We consider it more appropriate to demand that transport of the item be with biogas or other type of fuel that has lower or no emissions, than that the tenderers are weighted at this point so that we risk receiving tender offers that would cause higher emissions. In addition, this is a one-time procurement of a product where the quality requirements are set will ensure that we get a robust product with a long lifetime, which is also seen as an important climate and environmental consideration.
