Statsbygg would like to hold a qualification of participants that may be interested in submitting a tender offer for a turnkey contract with partnering for K206 C block as part of project 1004912 new government quarter, construction stage 2.
The contract is for the C block that is part of construction stage 2 of the new government quarter project.. The C block is the second largest building in the new government quarter, with 11 floors including a technical room on the roof, the gross area including the basement is 26,300 m2. The building faces Einar Gerhardsens plass and Møllergata with a downgraded and adapted building motive to the Møllergata development. The C block also has a large footprint and is constructively organised around a rectangle and compact concrete core. The area between the core and facades is an open connection in order to secure good daylight conditions.
The building houses main entrance B to the new government quarter (RKV) on U1 towards Møllergata. The entrance for employees is from Einar Gerhardsens plass on level 1. U1, the 1st, and 2nd floors in the C block include several of the government quarter's joint functions such as a course centre, meeting rooms, canteen, and a common area in the negotiations area. The 3rd to 10th floors are typical office floors, whilst the 11th floor (roof) is intended for technical installations.
The contract will include the following options:
- Basement under the C block
- Outside areas around the C block
- Basement 2
- Footbridges to the H block and G block, as well as connection to G block.
- Service agreements
- Renovation of Møllergata 13, 13b, and 15 facing the C block.

In all government construction projects, a proportion of the construction costs is allocated to public art in accordance with the Royal Decree of 05.09.1997. Statsbygg will receive art grants which will be made available for Art in Public Spaces (KORO – formerly the Public Art Fund). KORO will then become responsible for delivery of the art projects in Statsbygg's construction projects.
