Nordland Fylkeskommune

Nordland county would like to have pupils in sixth form colleges in Nordland surveying who live in dorms. It is desirable that the tender winner does the survey several years in a row, preferably in the late winter. The first report from the mapping shall be submitted to the contracting authority by 3 April 2024.

Hovedtrekk ved prosedyren:

As a consequence of a large number of pupils in the last 10 years, the tender structure in sixth form education offers has been tightened significantly. This may mean that there are now more pupils who have had to move in order to get the wanted education offer than there have been in the past. The County Council's concern is whether pupils are mature enough to manage everyday routines, food matters, finances and schools in an appropriate way. The County Council is concerned that the schools' pupils and apprentice services shall have good offers to dormers so that everyone finds themselves right, both socially and in school life. A mapping of well-being and mastering can contribute to knowledge that makes it possible to direct the effort towards groups that dislike more than others, that do not make everyday life and school work work work, or who feel lonely. The questions mapped by the County Council are significant. Away residents can experience the conditions as demanding, and this can, in the worst case, lead to the pupil not completing their training course. Based on this, Nordland county announced a competition in spring 2022 that would cover a mapping and a report. The report was presented to Nordland County Council in October 2022.Nordland County Council asks the county council to ensure that the work on mapping away residents is continued, and that a new survey will be carried out in autumn 2023. In further work, answers should be obtained from all away residents in the county, and investigations should be carried out over a long period of time to provide a more comprehensive picture of the away resident situation. The most important aim in sixth form education in Nordland is that several youths shall complete and pass sixth form education. Then it is fundamental that we have a good knowledge basis about all pupil groups, especially pupil groups that can be in a demanding situation. The lodgers are believed to be such a group. The County Council would like a thorough investigation carried out by a competent research environment that can respond to the county council's decision.
