Simula Research Laboratory AS

The eX³ project is a research based project aimed at going over 5 years with a probability of extensions and expansions. The project ́s objective is to explore computer engineering and software systems in an exascale setting. In addition to the host institutionSimula Research Laboratory, the project consortium consists of the operational organisation for national heavy-duty resources UninettSigma2, research groups at NTNU, OsloMET, the University of Tromsø and the University of Bergen, as well as heavy-duty suppliers Dolphin Interconnect Solutions, Numascale, Graphcore and Fabriscale Technologies. Simula will build and offer the above mentioned research environments the latest technologies that are essential in an exascale context and that will be requested in the future in the national calculation centres. This is the last procurement in the project under contract 270053 with the Norwegian Research Council of Norway.
