Avinor is currently operating Common Use systems at several airports in Norway.
For CUPPS there are currently 15 airports using the platform,
For CUSS there are currently 16 airports using the kiosks,
For BRS there are currently 43 airports using the BRS System. These are all airports currently under Avinor operations.
The existing framework agreement Avinor has, is coming to an end on 31 May 2024, and a new agreement needs to be established.
The new agreement will apply to Avinor AS, and all subsidiaries shall be able to make use of the agreement.
In the new agreement, Avinor is considering the following deliveries:

Introduction

For CUPPS there are currently 15 airports using the platform, OSL/KRS/SVG/BGO/MOL/AES/KSU/TRD/BOO/EVE/BDU/TOS/LYR/ALF/KKN.

For CUSS there are currently 16 airports using the kiosks, OSL/KRS/SVG/BGO/MOL/AES/KSU/TRD/BOO/EVE/BDU/TOS/LYR/ALF/LKL/KKN.

Common Use Platform for Check-in, gate and back office

Full service CUSS kiosks,

Bagtag printing Common Use kiosks,

BRS Baggage Reconciliation System,

Baggage Messaging System,

Biometrics,

Passenger verification System,

White label applications, API access, biometrics etc. for selected Avinor Airports in Norway.

A cloud based solution with redundancy, and with no servers/infrastructure installed on Avinor premises except needed router(s).

The list is not complete and can be modified during the dialogue phase. Some of the deliveries can also be set as an option in the agreement.

The mentioned solutions are very important tools for Avinors Common Use for passenger and baggage handling moving forward, as well as for handling agents and airlines operation at Avinor airports (and off airports where applicable). The systems delivered need to be robust and operate with a very high level of reliability and service delivery. The solutions also needs to be very flexible to cater for an industry where rapid changes occurs to technical standards, new equipment and airline products.

Avinor has a Business Model for all Common Use services throughout our network of airports. The model sees the airlines and ground handlers as primary customers and is based on the principles of pay per use, and Infrastructure-, Platform-, and Software as a Service (SaaS).

The deliveries in the new agreement need to meet the automation trend, where the passenger is more in control of the process through their Cellphone and the Handling agent being able to service the passenger through their own devices (BYOD – Bring Your Own Device), including new technology using biometrics and also enabling an off-airport solutions for passengers and Handling agents or other entities.
