Justification for cancellation We can now see that despite a low wheel pressure on the actual rails, the total load on the supporting structure is worryingly high. This creates a lot of uncertainty amongst employees who work in the laboratory as regards the building's supporting capabilities. In order to ensure that HSE is ensured, and so that the employees in the laboratory can feel safe, an independent assessment must be carried out on the entire construction, with particular focus on the deflection of rails and the point load on the pillars. NTNU is thus cancelling the tender contest and will carry out a critical review of the specifications in the tender documentation, as well as make necessary changes so that the building's supporting capabilities and safety are ensured.
