The objective of the contract is to contribute to the realisation of South Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority's target architecture where simple and secure information flow supports good work processes across equipment and systems through standardised and secure integrations of Medical Technical Equipment.

Point-of-Care Gateway (PoCG) includes the integration of "high-acuity" MTU for near-patient monitoring and diagnostics and treatment. This includes equipment that is typically connected to patients in theatres, post operative and intensive care units, clinical records and examination rooms that currently mostly pass data on to clinical systems such as curves. The equipment includes, for example, patient monitors, ventilators, respirators and specialised pumps. It can measure vital data such as pulse, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, medication, anaesthesia, etc. Estimated scope for sub-contract a): Integration system for approx. 750 beds at OUS and VV. Maximum extent up to 10,000 beds.

“Personal Health Gateway (PHG) shall ensure the most efficient integration of a fast growing amount of equipment that generates personal related health data....”

Personal Health Gateway (PHG) shall ensure the most efficient integration of a fast growing amount of equipment that generates personal related health data. It can be everything from different wearables for health, smartphones with mHealth applications for continual monitoring of health parameters, equipment from the hospital that is located in the home, etc. This also includes equipment to be purchased in electronics or sports boutiques that can contribute valuable clinical information for patients with, for example, chronic conditions. The target architecture seeks to make data available from equipment for personally generated health data for clinical trade systems/integrated clinical work flow, where it is deemed to be a need for this data. Estimated scope for sub-contract b): solution for approx. 10,000 patients, maximum extent up to 1 million patients.
