The Norwegian Coastal Administration shall enter into framework agreements for 3+1+1 years. The normal icebreaker period, which is subject to call offs is from 1.1 to 15.3, but may deviate if necessary. The framework agreement is signed with effect from 1.11.2022
The invitation to tender applies to the contract areas Farsund, Sauda, Nærøyfjorden, Beistadfjorden - Follafoss.
This tender contest replaces the contest that was cancelled in December 2021.
Tenderers may submit tenders for one or more contract areas.
The stated value estimate is based on the scope of the service in 2021, which was a severe ice winter. The scope will therefore vary depending on ice conditions in the individual contract area.

The procurement will cover the need for ice-breaking contingency and ice-breaking services for keeping open primary and secondary fairway areas so that the ship traffic can sail unhindered regardless of the time of year, and ice-formations in the sea. The contract is divided into four contract areas: Farsund, Sauda, Nærøyfjorden - Gudvangen and Beistadfjorden - Follafoss.

The contract applies to Farsund

A framework agreement shall be signed with one or more providers for a 5-year period, including options. The seasonal contracts used are of the BIMCO TOWHIRE type with adjustments and the prices are index-linked annually according to the total index of domestic shipping.

The stated value estimate is based on the use of the service in 2021, which was NOK 570,000.
