The Directorate of Labour and Welfare would like to enter into a contract with a tenderer in the research environment that can carry out a research project in order to acquire more knowledge on the cross-sectorial connections related to sick leave and dropout from working life. When the IA-agreement 2019-2022 was signed, a decision was made to establish a R&D programme that would contribute to goal-orientated and solid knowledge development of the goals, measures, and policies in the IA-agreement. The R&D programme is administered by the Directorate of Labour and Welfare. The programme notes for the R&D programme under the IA-agreement emphasise that there is a need for several studies that use the large amount of register data that exists in Norway. In addition there is a need for high quality knowledge that gives knowledge of the effects of the measures.
