Particle therapy abroad for Norwegian patients

Sykehusinnkjøp HF has been given the assignment, on behalf of the four regional health companies in Norway, of procuring particle therapy for Norwegian patients that fulfil the indication for such treatment. There is currently no treatment offer within particle therapy in Norway, and thus there is a need to enter into contracts with foreign centre/clinics that can offer this treatment to Norwegian patients.
The aim is to enter into a parallel framework agreements with several tenderers.
The procurement is divided into two sub-contracts. A) Proton therapy and B) Carbon Ion therapy. Tenderers can submit a tender for both sub-contracts, or for one of the sub-contracts. The contracting authority reserves the right to conduct a dialogue or negotiations with the tenderers in the contest. See the tender documentation, points 1.3 and 4.4 for further information.
The service must be provided abroad.

Therefore the need to procure proton therapy from abroad will be gradually reduced in the years 2024-2027. The maximum value is NOK 480 million. The maximum value is based on a 6-year contract period. Sub-contract B - Carbon Ion therapy: The estimated annual amount is NOK 6 million. The maximum value is NOK 90 million. The maximum value is based on a 6-year contract period. The framework agreement will be valid for two years, with an option to extend for a further four years.
