Motivated pupils with a special interest and talent in music will have increased possibilities to develop their musical talent whilst in ordinary primary and secondary school.
The offer must be a high quality offer in classical music over and above what is currently offered in music teaching in primary and secondary schools and in the schools of art.
The procurement is for a continuation of an extended music offer at Majorstuen School for 5th - 10th years. The music training will follow the school year. The school day is extended for the pupils involved. These pupils have an extra six hours a week. The pupils get training in their main instrument, ensemble in chamber music, orchestra, and with an accompanist, piano use, choir, and music theory.

Oslo Municipality, the Agency for Education, hereafter called the contracting authority, invites tenderers to an open tender contest for the procurement of a framework agreement for music services for the music talent offer in Oslo schools.
The procurement is for a continuation of an extended music offer at Majorstuen School for 5th - 10th years. The music training will follow the school year (38 weeks). The school day is extended for the pupils involved. These pupils have an extra six hours a week. The pupils get training in their main instrument, ensemble in chamber music, orchestra, and with an accompanist, piano use, choir, and music theory.

• give differentiated training to pupils who show special talent within an area
• increase the possibilities for participating in music for young children and youths who are interested in music
• contribute to strengthening Majorstuen School's music profile
The offer was started in the school year 2011/12 with 25 pupils in mixed-age classes of 5th 7th years, and was increased by up to 25 pupils per school year to a limit of up to 150 pupils split between 6 classes.
