The objective of the procurement is image management for operating theatres, a total of 11 operating theaters, respectively 5 for Nye Hammerfest Hospital (Finnmarkssykehuset HF) and 6 for Nye UNN Narvik (University Hospital North Norway HF). Helse Nord [Northern Norway Regional Health Authority] requests a holistic image management system and therefore wants to enter into a joint contract with a supplier of image management.

The establishment of new hospital buildings in Narvik and Hammerfest, new equipment is required for image control for operating theatres at both locations.

The image management system shall distribute images from fixed and mobile equipment to monitors placed in ceiling-mounted monitor arms and monitor arms mounted on walls. It should also be possible to display images from all active sources to all monitors separately. Opportunity to forward video and photos to recipients in other rooms at the hospital, surgeons on call and to other hospitals via the Norwegian Health Network shall also be offered. Various options are also requested.

For the New Hammerfest Hospital, 5 image control systems shall be procured and for the New UNN in Narvik, 6 image control systems shall be procured. The total contract involves the delivery of an image management system for 11 operating theatres.

The investment budget is NOK 1.2 million excluding VAT per operating theatre, a total of NOK 13.2 million excluding VAT for 11 operating theatres. The contracting authority reserves the right to cancel the tender contest if the tenders are exceeding the investment budget, as well as financing on the operating budget when calculating life cycle costs which are subject to evaluation in the award criterion 'Price'.

New UNN Narvik and New Hammerfest Hospital are under construction. The contracts for equipment to be placed in the hospital are entered into long before the delivery. The reason for this is to receive input on technical requirements from the equipment that can affect the building and the infrastructure, as well as to be able to interact with suppliers at an early stage in the project.
