The Norwegian Patient Injury Compensation (NPE) invites tenderers to a contest for the procurement of expert services from doctors. The contest is being held by Norsk Helsenett on behalf of NPE.
NPE needs doctors at specialist level to investigate and assess health matters in compensation cases and provide case workers and management professional advice within the following specialities:
Sub contract 1 - Child diseases
Sub-contract 2 - Digestive diseases
Sub-contract 3 - Maternity care and women's diseases.
Sub contract 4 - Gastrosurgery
Sub-contract 5 - Neurosurgery
Sub-contract 6 - Neurology
Sub-contract 7 - Orthopaedic surgery
Sub-contract 8 - Eye diseases
Note that tenderers must offer minimum 15 hours a month within the offered speciality. Further information on the service is in the attached Annex 1 Needs and Requirements Specification.

The scope of the service is based on realistic calculations. There is, however, a certain uncertainty regarding the scope within the sub-contracts that the Norwegian Patient Injury Compensation (NPE) will need. NPE reserves the right therefore to change the estimated number of hours and the number of contracts within the sub-contracts if the need changes in the contest phase. If the need for a sub-contract ceases, for example, due to a significant decline in the number of cases, NPE reserves the right to cancel the contest for the sub-contract.
