Relevant disciplines can be:

· Formulating requirements specifications for the vessel requirements, including environment, as well as award criteria. In addition to assistance with the award of contract.

· Condition assessment and price assessment for the procurement and sale of second-hand vessels.

- General assistance as needed within the maritime technical field.

· A fully owned county limited company (Fylkesbåtene AS) currently owns 13 vessels that are hired out to Nordland County. The vessels are sub-let to operators on bareboat contracts. This means that the vessels will be seen to by an operator during the contract period, but it will, however, be important for the contracting authority to have an inspection function in order to ensure that the vessels are seen to. This involves, amongst other things:

o Follow-up of self-owned vessels, both through random checks in the maintenance system Premaster, and physical checks of the vessel, amongst other things, whilst it is at a shipyard

o Assistance with the completion and start-up of new contracts as regards technical condition.

o Formulating an overview of technical data for new tender notices.

o Dialogue with operators.
