Norcem AS

A four level building (maintenance centre) shall be constructed consisting of workshops on level 1, a mezzanine floor for workshop offices on level 2, an office, changing rooms and canteen on level 3, and technical rooms on level 4, to a total area of approx. 4000m2. The building's load-bearing system will be in steel and concrete, including exterior walls made of concrete elements on level 1 and hollow-core element floors on all levels above level 1. Regulations on technical requirements for construction works ("Byggteknisk forskrift - TEK17") are the basis for the engineering design and implementation. All technical infrastructure in the building must be included, including the pipe system in the workshops for welding gas to a separate gas shed (welding gas central) 10 metres from the outer wall. Traverse cranes must be delivered and installed in the workshops.

Ground work, including the structure's base plate, was constructed and completed in March 2022. From the summer of 2022 and until the construction of the maintenance centre is initiated the bottom plate shall be used for workmen's huts by another contractor Measures have been taken to protect the work already executed.

The work will be initiated in December 2023 at the earliest and must be completed and ready for handover by December 2024 at the latest.
