These units will be used together with warm humidity, and must be mobile units with at least 2 lockable wheels in order to ensure flexibility. It must also be possible to use the ventilators for CPAP treatment.
The ventilator tubes must be long enough so that they do not prevent mobilisation, and it must be possible to turn the equipment towards the bed/chair.
There can be up to 4-5 persons around the patient bed and the equipment in the intensive care department. The ventilator must have a large and easily readable monitor, and a moveable arm for hanging the patient circuit, so that it can be moved and regulated according to where it is appropriate to have the equipment.

The work flow around the ventilator can be chaotic in the newborn baby intensive care department, with many people present; everything for 2-6 persons. The child lies in an open incubator/asphyxia table, with the head end out from the wall for as long as the child has unstable respiration.

The ventilator will be used to ventilate sick newborn and premature babies; from 0-15 kg.
The ventilators must be compatible with the electronic curve Meona, so that we get direct data acquisition from the ventilator to the curve.
A training package must be offered together with the equipment; with training superusers and other employees. We would also like an e-Learning programme for training and later updates. The training must be included in the tender.

The total estimated value for the procurement of ventilators is NOK 1,500,000 including options.
