Karmøy Municipality will construct a new sewage treatment plant in Åkrehamn in accordance with the requirements in the pollution regulations and the emission licence issued by the County Governor in Rogaland on 8 January 2019 with the accompanying terms. The treatment plant will be a primary treatment plan that is suitable for secondary treatment. The plant will consist of a process hall and personnel building that is physically connected to the process hall. The treatment plant will be located at Tjøsvoll west - part of cadastral no. 13, title no. 318, which is regulated for the purpose.
