The reference fleet is a selected group of Norwegian fishing vessels that, for financial compensation, give the Institute of Marine Research detailed information on their individual catches and on their general fishing activities. The aim is to have vessels that have an operations pattern that is representative for the vessel group in question. The Institute of Marine Research would like to continue and renew the Coastal Reference Fleet. The contracting authority would like to enter into a contract for services for the Reference Fleet from a Danish seine/closing net vessel, 21-28 metres, with quota and cod fishing with a Danish seine north of 62°N.

The contracting authority would like to enter into a contract for services for the Reference Fleet from a Danish seine/closing net vessel, 21-28 metres, with quota and cod fishing with a Danish seine north of 62°N.
The crew on board the vessel with take samples of their catches, including by-catches and non-landed catches throughout the year. This is to be done in accordance with the Instructions for the Seagoing Reference Fleet for 2022, see the attached contract, annex 2.

Training in sample taking will be given. Visits on board each vessel is part of the training and will be carried out minimum once a year. An annual meeting is held at the Institute of Marine Research in Bergen.
