Stavanger Municipality, c/o BMU Site Projects, has started the detailed engineering design services and development of Nytorget in the centre of Stavanger.
The project is complex, and has a lot of internal and external attention, as well as a tight progress plan. Site Projects therefore needs to strengthen the project management team with a 50% project manager assistant position.
The contract duration of 4.5 months (20 weeks) is to be seen as a trial period. Cooperation abilities and the chemistry with the project manager at the contracting authority are important in this engagement. The contract will be extended for up to 1+1 year for the right person.

The urban space will be transformed from a traffic area to a park and car-free square. During this work the municipality will also replace all the water and sewage pipelines at Nytorget, as well as in parts of Langgata, Bergelandsgata, and Brødregata.

The engineering design services and development of Nytorget Park and water and sewage requires close cooperation with adjoining projects such as Mediebyen, Metropolis, Jugendhuset, Kongsgata, Klubbgata and Verksgata.
The project has a lot of attention and interest. Information and follow-up of interested parties, both internally and externally, is a very important task for the project management. Pedersgata and Nytorget have a central role in the city jubilee for Stavanger Municipality. The square must therefore be fully developed for the city jubilee in 2025. This gives us a tight progress plan.

This contest is primarily for a project manager assistant for the Nytorget Park and water and sewage project (the main procurement), but is also open for an equivalent position for the Jåttåvågen 2 Sewage project.
Tenderers must have the possibility to offer up to 4 persons. Tenderers can choose to offer only a person(s) for the main procurement, offer persons specialised for each of the projects, or let the contracting authority choose. The contest requirements apply regardless of whether the tenderer chooses to split up their offered persons.
