The Greig Academy is an institute at the Faculty for Art, Music, and Design (KMD). The main aim of the faculty is education, artistic development work, research, and communication within art, design, and music. KMD is a faculty at the University of Bergen (UiB).

The Greig Academy - Institute for Music has had area and infrastructure challenges for a long time. The institute is in premises that are considered to be worn-down and not very functional.
The Ministry of Education and Research has assessed that a new building connected to the existing building (UiB - KMD) at Møllendal will solve the problem that UiB currently has. Furthermore, the co-location of all the artistic environments at UiB could strengthen the professional development, and give better use of the area and administrative staff. The building will be a supplement to the existing building, which will support the goal of multi-disciplinary and artistic education and research at a high international level.

We would like to negotiate in several phases, see the PPR, section 23-11 (2).
KORO and artists will also be able to place orders on the contract, cf. chapter 2 in the tender invitation.

Egnethet til å utøve yrkesvirksomheten:
Tenderers are required to have a legally established company.
Company Registration Certificate, foreign companies are required to have an equivalent certificate in the country where the company is registered, alternatively StartBANK ID.
Økonomisk og finansiell stilling:
Tenderers are required to have satisfactory financial implementation ability.
The extent of the size will also be emphasised.
Complete Annual Financial Statements for the last 3 years including the auditors report, alternatively StartBANK ID.
Statsbygg reserves the right to obtain a credit rating of all tenderers.
Teknisk og faglig kapasitet:
For TE / company:
Sufficient experience is required from assignments with a transferable value. (Particular weight will be put on experience from teaching buildings, arts centres/music buildings.) Experience from assignments that were carried out as turnkey contracts will be weighted.

A description of up to 5 reference projects must be submitted. Reference projects in the last 5 years will be weighted.
The company's reference projects must have information on:
a) The project name
b) Contracting authority
c) Type of building
d) The size of the project in m2 and total cost (if known).
e) The project's contract form
f) The assignment’s contract value
g) The project's start-up and completion dates
h) The project's transferable value for the Greig Academy
i) Contact person with a mobile number (Statsbygg can obtain references from the contact person.)
Roles/functions:
TE, ARK, RiG, RiB, RiE and LARK.
Sufficient experience from assignments with transferable value is required.
Particular for RiV:
This is a music building and there are strict requirements for the inside climate. Experience from projects/buildings where there were strict requirements for the inside climate will be weighted in the evaluation. 4
Particular for RIAku:
This is a music building and there are strict requirements for acoustics. Experience and reference within:
- Specialised buildings for music rehearsals/higher music education
- Detailed engineering design services for resonance conditions in floating constructions
- Design of professional sound control room (possibly as a sub-consultant)
will be weighted in the evaluation.
A description of up to 5 reference projects per role/function must be submitted.
Reference projects in the last 5 years will be weighted.
The reference projects must include information on:
e) The assignment/role in the project.
f) The project's contract form
g) The assignment’s contract value
h) The project's start-up and completion dates
i) The project's transferable value for the Grieg Academy
j) Contact person with a mobile number (Statsbygg can obtain references from the contact person.)
If the company/companies that will fill the roles of ARK/, RIG, RIB, RIV, RIE, LARK, and RiAKu are companies other than the executing turnkey contractor, statements must be submitted from these companies regarding their having the resources to fulfil the assignment.
