The Ocean Space Center (OSC) will be located at Tyholt in Trondheim, Norway, and will house research and higher education institutions that operate under one roof, and seamlessly integrate basic and applied research areas within ocean engineering and bioscience. When OCS is completed, it will consist of a unique selection of laboratories with simple and robust student laboratories, very advanced laboratories for basic research, some of the world's largest hydrodynamic laboratories for large-scale and industrial research, and finally, full-scale field laboratories in the fjord and sea areas outside Trondheim. All this combined with advanced calculation and numerical facilities. The new laboratories will replace the existing facilities that are currently located in Tyholt in Trondheim.

The ocean basin (OB: 50 x 60) and the rough sea basin (SMB: 180 x 40 m) will both be equipped with a moveable bottom system that can be lowered down in the water, adjusted, and locked in the entire depth from; 0-12 m for OB and 0-6 m for SMB. The bottom has extraordinary high requirements for structural stiffness, dimension tolerances, positioning, and operational performances, and is a key in the realisation of the ambition related to hybrid testing in the basins.

OB: The moveable bottom covers almost the entire area of the basin, with an adjustable inclined plane that stretches towards wave machines and the incoming current on one side and the outflow and wave absorbing bars in the other end. The moveable bottom in the ocean basin will, in addition, have a central section (centre hole) of L7.5 x B7.5 x D14 m, equipped with a steel construction that can be further sunken or raised to the desired height in or above the centre hole and locked to the walls. The moveable bottom is built up as a stiff steel construction, consisting of a beam system laid on pillars that go into dedicated shafts in the bottom of the basin.

SMB: The moveable bottom in the SMB will cover a section of the basin with a bottom area of 40x50m. The floor construction and the supporting pillars for this floor have an equivalent design as for the OB, but without a deeper central section and adjustable inclined plane.

A lot of the assembly work must be carried out on-site, including welding and surface treatment due to the moveable size of the two systems.

Tenders are wanted for a service and maintenance contract for the delivered system, and tenders for spare parts for 24 months operation after hand-over.

Økonomisk og finansiell stilling:
Tenderers must submit the last auditor confirmed annual accounts, or alternatively StartBANK ID, and an economic assessment from a recognised rating company. The rating must not be older than 3 months.
Minste nivå(er) av standarder:
Tenderers must have satisfactory financial implementation ability. The size of the turnover in relation to the contract value, can be emphasised.
Teknisk og faglig kapasitet:
Tenderers are required to have sufficient capacity and competence to deliver the scope of the work. Sufficient experience from deliveries with transferable value is also required.
Minste nivå(er) av standarder:
Tenderers must describe their organisation, competence, and capacity. In addition, a minimum of three relevant references must be provided with a transferable value to this project. Tenderers must also document their quality follow-up system and their environmental follow-up system.
