The Lervig Quarter

Stavanger kommune

Stavanger municipality is responsible for the development of the Lervig quarter. The objective of the development project is the establishment of Storhaug's new meeting place with services and meeting places that encourage activities and accommodation.
The area is a quarter in the Storhaug district in the heart of Lervig, approx. 1.5 km from Stavanger's central area. The quarter constitutes Ryfylkegata, Haugesundsgata, Rennesøygata and Breivikveien, and has an area of approx. 30 decares.
The objective of the development project is to establish a quarter for public functions and shops at Lervig in the eastern part of Stavanger. The quarter is limited as plan 2692, and currently contains Lervig nursing home in addition to the former administration building that was connected to the Tinfabriken (the Tin factory). Both the administration building and the nursing home shall be continued and preserved.

Contractors shall be pre-qualified for participation in a call for tenders regarding the turnkey contract in accordance with NS8407.
The main objective of the project is to facilitate for the establishment of:
— primary school first to seventh year (B21. school, 21 classes, approx. 630 pupils, including a special facilitated training offer (Norwegian: STOLT) with approx. 40 pupils),
— nursery (6 departments),
— sports hall/multi-user hall,
— local stores,
— offices,
— premises for city district's functions,
— public car park. All of these functions are part of the same building structure. Total gross area: approx. 26 000 m2.
The site situation
The Lervig quarter is located within Haugesundsgaten, Breivikveien, Rennesøygaten and Ryfylkegaten. Approximately 110 000 m
The ground contract is a separate execution contract. This contract was subject to a call for tenders in the autumn of 2020, and Stangeland Maskin has been awarded the contract. The expected start of contract is April 2021.
Costs
The development of the Lervig quarter is anchored in the Action and Finance Plan for 2020 — 2023, HØP, approved by the Stavanger municipal Council on 16 December 2019, case no. 61/19.
The estimated project value subject to funding is a total of NOK 768 000 000 including VAT.
