Due to staff holidays, leave, vacancies and sick leave, the contracting authority has a need for nurses, auxiliary nurses and health workers who can undertake temporary staff services. This concerns personnel for longer or shorter assignments, both planned and acute assignments.

The contracting authority's internal commissioners will be the environmental service and the nursing and care service.
The environmental service can require temporary staff in residences for persons with disabilities or serious mental illness, in the mental health service, and drug and alcohol abuse work, or as BPA in private homes. The work will consist of both health help, practical assistance and training, and support person assignments. The nursing and care service preferably needs substitutes in a nursing home ward (both somatic and sheltered ward for people with dementia), in the home service (both in the form of home nursing — health care and home help — practical

Assistance), at the day care centre for the demented and for other health and care services provided in patients' private homes. The substitutes at the nursing home ward will interact with patients associated with the nursing home, emergency room and the municipal emergency unit (Norwegian: KAD/hospital. On evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, the substitute shall also be responsible for the emergency room in teams with the doctors on duty. The units have some patients/users that they cooperate on, temporary staff can be used across the units in these cases.
