As part of the new Government Quarter project, Statsbygg (the Directorate of Public Construction and Property) wants to develop an industrialised system for inner-walls of timber, that can safeguard the same requirements and services as on-site built walls, as well as streamlining engineering design, ordering and implementation on the construction site. There will be a need to safeguard all aspects related to inner walls, this is for e.g. audio requirements, fire requirements, hidden technical installations and conduits in walls. It is preferable that the industrialised solution appears as a complete and predictable system, with the possibility of handling different interfaces to other building parts as part of the prefabricated construction concept. Furthermore, it is also preferable that the solution can be used across building typologies and building managers, with the potential for reuse.
