The resource review will compare resource use between entities/type of entity and regions. The resource review will maps changes in resource use and assignments over time, in relation to resource access. The extent to which measures/assignments can be lowered in priority or removed and proposals for specific measures that give reduced costs and/or better goal achievement will be assessed. The assignment will be further developed with a method that allows the report to be updated in coming years in order to show changes over time. Please note that the Norwegian Mediation Service and the Norwegian Correctional Service are of different nature and size, and the method must be suitable for the two different businesses.

Justis- og beredskapsdepartementet (the Ministry of Justice and Public Security) needs to strengthen their knowledge base in the management of subsidiary businesses. As part of this work, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security wants to secure more comprehensive information about the current resource situation in the Norwegian Correctional Service and the Norwegian Mediation Service.
