Sykehuspartner HF is faced with a choice where the current infrastructure can be renewed, or changed to a cloud-based model. This can result in the services being delivered by implementing the ‘as-a-service’ model, where infrastructure is delivered as a service (IaaS), platform services will be delivered as a service (PaaS), and finally Software as a Service (SaaS).
Sykehuspartner HF therefore wants to establish a new platform for operation of infrastructure and licensing of Oracle databases (hereafter called ‘the solution’) where hardware and the required licensing must be leased by an external provider. In this scenario, the service provider must also take full responsibility for operating hardware, strongly limited to the administration of the databases and the operating system on which the databases are installed.
Operation of hardware is the service provider's responsibility such as described in the requirement specification as the hardware is leased ‘as a service’.

The desired future situation could involve the lease of hardware and licenses, that will give Sykehuspartner HF a much greater degree of flexibility in operation of Oracle infrastructure. A new operating platform for Oracle databases is expected to generate substantial savings compared to the current model, and give a more dynamic licensing and higher technical functionality. The solution should be able to be expanded and up-scaled or down-scaled as the need for use of the Oracle database platforms changes in the coming years.

Sykehuspartner HF basically wants a cloud-solution that is located in its own computer room, but is also open to looking at ‘hybrid cloud-solutions’. Placement of the solution will be carried out by the service provider. If a ‘hybrid’ solution is chosen, its use will have to depend on the assessment of practicality and risk carried out by Sykehuspartner HF in each individual case.

Beskrivelse av fornyelser:

The four (4) year contract period will apply from the delivery day. The contract will then be renewed automatically for 1 (one) year at a time, unless 3 (three) months notice is given by the contracting authority before the renewal date. The tenderer has the option to terminate the contract 12 (twelve) months prior to the notification of contract renewal.
