There has been a large increase in activity over the last 30 years. The current emergency department was dimension for 14,000 patients per year. The number of patients treated has increased annually and in 2020 was 31,000 patients. Space utilisation is intensified due to densification and temporary reallocation of areas, but available space has not been expanded significantly during this period. Analyses carried out have not detected opportunities to solve the current quality and capacity challenges with the current buildings.

This procurement concerns the concept phase with an option for preliminary project preparation, preliminary project and implementation. The work under the different options can be transferred to contractors in any phase of the project.
This contract includes a complete group for all architectural services and technical advisors.
The tenderer’s core-team must ensure good interaction with the contracting authority and Sykehusbygg, and manage the tenderer’s other resources and competence in accordance with the project need and progress. Refer to the evaluation criteria.
Project assistance is wanted for:
- Alternative review and design studies: Approx. 1 March 2022 - approx. 30 May 2022
- Elaboration of selected alternative, draft project: Approx. 1 June 2022 - 30 August 2022
- Adjustment and presentation of project: September/October, Tenderer’ must anticipate being co-located with the contracting authority during certain parts of the execution of the assignment.
