Molde Municipality would like to procure a control system for street lights.
Molde Municipality currently has a contract with Istad Kraft for controlling our street lights. This control system is now old and not very functional so we would now like to modernise it. As the contract with Istad Kraft is about to expire, Molde Municpality will procure its own control system.

This means that we must establish municipal electricity cupboards on the outside of Istad Kraft's electricity cupboards. Molde Municipality currently has more than 7000 street lights, divided between just under 200 circuits, which must be controlled. The street light network currently consists of both old and new fixtures, which were built in different eras both as regards the requirements for execution and components and light sources that were available. Fixtures with environmentally damaging components have been replaced with LED fixtures in large parts of the installations, however this work has not yet been completed. Molde Municipality would like to procure a control system that can be implemented with the existing street light installations. The municipality would like to put inhabitants at the centre, use new technology, innovative methods, collaboration and co-creation in order to be more sustainable, attractive, productive, and adaptable. Molde Municipality is part of the Smart City programme. The municipality would therefore like to use sustainable systems and technologies in an innovative way.

Molde Municipality will and ought to be both socially responsible and a good example of energy economising measures. This procurement process must therefore be seen in light of this. The aim of this procurement is to simplify operations and make them more efficient, reduce costs, and to have a good overview of the installations at any one time. Molde Municipality would also like to ensure more reliable street light installations for the municipality's inhabitants by procuring its own new control system. The requirements specification, which will be attached to the invitation to the contest, is attached.
