The contracting authority needs support for expertise in the design and realization of digital and physical products and services for the defence sector. The framework agreement includes the delivery of consulting services related to the disciplines: Interaction design, service design, industrial design, safety-critical design, and system-oriented design. The objective of the framework agreement is to cover the contracting authority's alternating need for consultancy support related to this subject area.

The agreement includes consulting services for the design of adapted interfaces that create a situational understanding and are easy to interact with under demanding conditions (interaction design). The agreement also includes services for developing, planning, and organising good user experiences for challenging and safety-critical environments (service design), and services for physical design of products and environments that are adapted to extreme environment and user requirements (industrial design). Services related to the influence of cognitive capacity in extreme situations (safety-critical design) and the ability to map and compile complex interactions, operational understanding, relational logic, time factors, mental models, and spatial factors in a holistic approach (system-oriented design) are requested.
