Oslo Municipality, c/o the Agency for Urban Environment, hereafter called the contracting authority, invites tenderers to an open tender contest for an operational contract for the cleaning and maintenance of the Agency of Urban Environment's toilets in the centre of Oslo.
The Agency for Urban Environment manages communal areas such as streets, squares, parks, recreational areas, sports facilities, countryside, and inner Oslo fjord. The Agency for Urban Environment is also responsible for air, noise, water, and soil. The Agency's goal is to make Oslo a safe, beautiful, environmentally friendly and active city.
Per December 2021 the operational contract covers 11 toilets. The tenderer must allow for the number increasing in the contract period, however it could also be reduced.

The current contracts are about to expire and a contract will now be established for the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of the contracting authority's toilets in the centre of Oslo. Per December 2021 the operational contract covers 11 toilets. The tenderer must allow for the number increasing in the contract period, however it could also be reduced.

The current toilets are spread over large parts of the city, and consist of three different models. Seven Heyerdahl toilets are located in the following places: Myraløkka, St. Hanshaugen, Sofienbergparken, Slottsparken, Youngstorget, Stortorvet and Rådhusbrygga. Three Liberté toilets are located at Eidsvolls plass/Spikersuppa. This is an art installation. The toilets were collected from Paris in France where they were previously. These ten toilets were all established by external actors. The last and newest of the toilet buildings is in Christian Fredriks plass, which was established by the Agency for Urban Environment. The Heyerdahl toilets and the toilet building in Christian Fredriks plass are currently owned by Oslo Municipality. The three Liberté toilets at Eidsvoll Plass are owned by a third party.
