To investigate fishing grounds, Fiskeridirektoratet [the Directorate of Fisheries] wants to hire fishing vessels that are rigged and suitable for efficient and practical implementation of missions, including catches and catch measurements. The hired vessel will be used to carry out monitoring of fishing grounds. The vessel will carry out missions in the entire Fisheries protection zone around Svalbard, Smutthullet and the Norwegian exclusive economic zone. The service will be operated throughout the entire area and the vessel will follow ongoing fishing activity where Fiskeridirektoratet [the Directorate of Fisheries] wants a presence. The vessel must be associated with a cod trawling license north of 62°N.
