Flushing of Municipal Sewage Pipelines
Færder kommune
Tønsberg og Færder kommune (Tønsberg Municipality and Færder Municipality) will enter into a contract for flushing of municipal sewage pipelines. Tønsberg og Færder kommune (Tønsberg Municipality and Færder Municipality) are combined called the ‘contracting authority’.
The contract involves implementation of flushing of municipal sewage pipelines for the contracting authority, primarily in dimensions from 150 mm-1 200 mm concrete and PVC pipes. In addition it includes rinsing of culverts up to 1 600 mm, emptying of sand-traps and pump sumps. Flushing plans are prepared by the municipality.
The assignment will vary between work in ‘flushing zones’ and with individual assignments.

Tønsberg Municipality:
Tønsberg Municipality has an annual budget of approx. NOK 2 000 000.
The estimated flushing quantity will be approx. 30 000-50 000 m of sewage pipes per year. + approx. 120 pump sumps and emptying of sand traps.
In periods with snow and ice in the winter half of the year, one must anticipate stops in routine flushing, then only individual assignments will be relevant. During such periods, the contractor must ensure work for others outside of this tender.
Færder Municipality:
Færder municipality has an annual budget of approx. NOK 2 000 000.
The estimated flushing quantity will be approx. 30 000-50 000 m of sewage pipes per year. + approx. 80 pump sumps and emptying of sand traps.
In periods with snow and ice in the winter half of the year, one must anticipate stops in routine flushing, then only individual assignments will be relevant. In such periods, the contract must ensure other work outside of this tender. This applies also in periods when the annual scope of the routine flushing has been carried out.
