The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) (organisation no. 969 159 570) has a special responsibility for providing research and education that ensure the basis of existence for future generations. We provide knowledge for life and sustainability is rooted in everything we do. NMBU has 1800 employees and 6275 students and is organised in seven faculties, several research centres and a University administration. NMBU currently has a campus at Ås. NMBU also has a research centre in Sandnes.
FoodPilotPlant Norway (the Matpilot) is a national infrastructure financed by Norges Forskningsråd [the Research Council of Norway] for research on food processing located at campus Ås. The host institution is the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and Nofima.
A filtration system will be procured for the FoodPilotPlant Norway to be used for production of concentrated products.
The procurement value is anticipated to be NOK 1,200,000 - NOK 2,000,000 excluding VAT, including options and additional choice.

Nofima houses the following pilot facilities: Plant processing (Bakery, cereal plant and vegetable plant), Packing plant, Meat plant and Fish plant, as well as Pathogen Pilot Plant. The infrastructure is used in research, in assignments for the food industry and for exercises and master assignments for Food Science students. The majority of these students get jobs in the food industry when they are finished. FoodPilotPlant Norway could therefore be a showcase for the Norwegian Food Industry.
