The contracting authority wants tenders for a CT for dose planning placed in the Radiation Department at St Olav’s Hospital Trust. The department already has a Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT from 2012.
A new CT will be installed in a separate room so that the two will be used in parallel.
Due to problems with internal resources at St Olav's, reconstruction has been outsourced.
Therefore there are no completed drawings of the intended space at the time of this notice.
The installation will be a ‘traditional’ CT installation with a control room, gantry room and computer room. After selection of the supplier, the awarded supplier will provide placement proposals.
When the finished room solution is available from an external contractor, it will be shared with relevant tenderers.
Due to the holiday period, questions about the tender will be answered during the period 19 July 2021 until 17 August 2021.

The department treats the majority of diagnoses that indicate radiation therapy, and the new CT must provide high quality images of all organs and parts of the body. Use of IV contract is increasing and the system for this must be efficient. The CT must have the possibility of 4D recording.

The department has already acquired ‘C-Rad Sentinel 4D CT’ for breathing control and triggering of 4D recording. It is desirable that the new CT supports this and that the solution is described in the tender, or that a solution is supplied that gives equivalent functionality included in the tender.

The table top must be compatible with iBeam evo from Elekta, and the system must have a laser system for patient positioning. Gantry opening and reconstruction site should be as big as possible.
The images from the CT will be exported to Raysearch and possibly other DICOM nodes. Software with auto-segmentation of structures and organs for planning of radiation therapy are of interest.
