This project consists of the establishment of preventive avalanche control.
This will be in the form of 10 or 12 trigger points for avalanches (depending on which system is chosen).
The contract consists of the establishment of a complete remote-controlled system for triggering snow avalanches on the stretch County Road 7768 Grøtfjord-Tromvik in Troms og Finnmark County.
(approx. stretch indication: S2D1 approx. m 5400-8400).
The contract also includes 5 years obligatory service, operation, and maintenance of the system. There are also options in the contract for an extension of the operation and maintenance for 15 years, split into 3 separate periods of 5 years.
Only the builder can decide whether or not to take up the options.
10 or 12 trigger points must be established in order to solve the preventive avalanche control assignment. The number of trigger points depends on whether explosives or gas is used as the blasting agent. The 2 different alternatives are described in 2 separate processes in chapter D1 description place A1 processes 79.11 and 79.12 respectively. Only one of these processes is to be priced.

The trigger points must see to a controlled release of snow that is in danger of forming a snow avalanche of a certain size.
An accompanying radar warning installations, and 2 manually operated road barriers, barracks, and electricity will be established beforehand. (Cf. Chapter A3 point 8)
Beskrivelse av opsjoner:
Option phase: This makes up a non-obligatory part of the contract.
This part of the contract consists of an option for operating the installation in 3 different periods, with 5 years in each period.
- The first period will be from 15 November 2027 to 15 May 2032.
- The second period will be from 15 November 2032 to 15 May 2037.
- The third period will be from 15 November 2037 to 15 May 2042.
Only the builder can take up the option, and it must be done separately for each option period. The builder must decide whether to take up the contract at the latest 6 months before the current operational period expires.
