C-arm, the Neurosurgical Department at St. Olav’s Hospital
The Neurosurgical Department at St. Olavs Hospital Trust would like to procure a new C-arm.
The current areas of use for the C-arm that will be replaced:
— level determination of the Kolumna in the side and AP plan. We want good pictures and good pictures when the C-arm is moved during an x-ray so that the levels can be counted continuously,
— presentation of pedicles/vertebrae and screws when fixing the kolumna,
— presentation of the kolumna during cervical repositioning,
— presentation of the spinal canal during the insertion of electrodes,
— X-ray of presentation of cavity/sinus (foramen oval/ trigeminus nerve) in the skull during surgical procedures (balloon compression).
Presentation of the skull base during pituitary gland surgery.
Localisation of a catheter tip in the atrium by using contrast when inserting a shunt.
Description areas / procedures that will benefit from 3D functionality — per operative control of the implant and possible export of image data into the navigation system (Brainlab).
