This contest includes both architectural and engineering services, i.e., all the services required to fulfil the assignment description.

The contracting authority has the right (option) to extend this contract so that it also includes the preliminary project up until B4.

So as not to slow down progress, the tender documentation will be sent out without the approval of the steering committee. The steering committee's approval can be given in a meeting on 14 December 2021. The contest is therefore subject to being cancelled.

The board in Helse Sør-Øst RHF came to a decision in matter 058-2021 Continuation of plans for the development of Innlandet Hospital.

The decision points to two alternative development directions:

Choice of direction 1 - 'New hospital in Moelv'.

A new 'Mjøsa Hospital' with a collection of specialised functions within somatic, mental health care, and multidisciplinary specialised substance abuse treatment, located in Moelv. The new hospital is included in a structure that also has hospitals in Lillehammer, Elverum, and Tynset.

Choice of direction 2 - 'In real terms, zero plus''.

The trust is continued to be operated within the existing hospital structure. In the project mandate this alternative is detailed with the alternative including a 'replacement hospital for the hospital in Hamar with an appropriate function division with the hospital in Elverum'.

The project's mandate was approved by the board in Helse Sør-Øst RHF 23/9 2021 (matter 105-2021). The mandate will form the basis for the decision on the concept in December 2022 (B3). Sites have not been chosen for either choice of direction 1 or 2. This will be done after the B3A decision.

The contracting authority has the right (option) to extend this contract so that it also includes the preliminary project up until B4. The option must be taken up at the latest by 1.7.2024.
