A New Building for a Treatment Plant at Erikstad in Fauske Municipality and the Upgrading of Østerkløft Treatment Plant

Fauske municipality has decided to build a new sewage treatment plant Erikstad. Due to the location of strainers on the lower floor and the unloading of sludge on the ground floor the existing treatment plant has limited capacity and a somewhat operational cumbersome solution, The municipality is also dissatisfied with the solution, which involves relatively large wear on sieve cloths, as the plant lacks pre-treatment processes that removes abrasive particles such as sand and gravel. A new modern treatment plant must consider the separation of foreign bodies such as grease, sand and refuse and must thus protect the process equipment significantly better than the existing plant. Østerkløft treatment plant shall also be upgraded to be a reception for septic sludge by installing a dewatering system in the existing building. To achieve this, minor reconstruction works are required in existing plant. The old treatment plant must be in operation up until the new treatment plant is in operation.
