21/02916 Hire of a trawl vessel for 1-3 Barents capelin spawning missions

The Institute of Marine Research (the contracting authority) would like to hire a trawl vessel or a combined ring net/trawl vessel for 3 periods of 14 days (over a total period of 42 days) to test measuring amounts of the spawning stock of Barents capelin during spawning.
The goal is to get the best possible quantity measurements of the capelin spawn stock in the Barents Sea, in order to evaluate whether this can be included in advice.
The mission is mainly an acoustic trawl mission with acoustic measurements along pre-set course lines and pelagic trawling where there are registrations. See the requirements on an echo sounder in a false keel. In addition, there will be measurements with sonar, and acoustic measurements of the strength of the measurements can also be required with the tenderer's own equipment that is brought on board.
A research quota of 75 tonnes has been set aside for sample taking, 25 tonnes per period/vessel.
