Havforskningsinstituttet [the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research] (the contracting authority) wants to rent a vessel for pelagic trawling of mackerel and use of Gulf VII plankton samples for fish eggs.
The mission will have a 21 day duration and will take place in June 2021, provisional dates are 7 - 27 June (exact dates may change).
The mission is part of the international mackerel and horse mackerel egg mission that takes place every third year.
The area that will be covered includes the sea west of Scotland, the areas around the Faroe Island and further toward the Norwegian coastline south of latitude 66.
Departure and arrival ports will be Bergen, but there will also be a port call in the middle of the mission, most likely at Torshavn in the Faroe Islands.
The contracting authority will participate with a total of eight persons.
