Veterinary Duty Services and Livestock Practice

Ringerike kommune

The municipalities have, in accordance with the Act from 15 June 2001 No 75 concerning veterinary and other animal health personnel § 3a responsibility for organising a clinical veterinary duty service outside of regular working hours and ensure satisfactory access to animal health personnel services. On this basis, Ringerike and Hole municipalities want to sign contracts with veterinarians in order to cover the municipality 's responsibility for access to veterinarian services. The procurement concerns the delivery of veterinary duty services and livestock practice in the duty district of Ringerike and Hole.
Livestock practice will be offered Monday to Friday in regular working hours between 8.00-16.00. Veterinary duty services will be offered for the times that are not covered by regular veterinarian services.
After an evaluation of the organisation of the previous contract period for the services, the municipality now wants a reorganisation where the services are offered combined from one supplier.

The total value of the contract is NOK 5 850 000 for the entire contract period with options. Of the total value, NOK 300 000 is paid annually as municipal operating grants for livestock practice and NOK 870 000 annual as county operating grants for veterinary duty services.

The contract duration is 3 years. The contracting authority has the option to extend the framework agreement for a further 1 year + 1 year, so that the maximum contract duration is 5 years.
