Volda/Ørsta treatment facility, Norwegian abbreviation VØR, shall establish a new facility for treatment of waste. The facility shall be located in the new industry area Melsgjerdet in Ørsta. Phase A includes the establishment of a waste reception plant for food, residual waste and garden waste. During this phase an area for entering the facility by a gate and a scale, a building for reception, storage and reloading, a washing plant and administration premises must be established. An outdoor area containing manoeuvring areas, an outdoor storage and alignment area must also be established. The area must be secured and fenced. The construction site is close to a salmon river and considerations thereof must be met. Agricultural properties and homes are also in proximity to the construction site. The construction project is assumed to be organised as a turnkey contract. The facility must be completed and ready for use by 30 June 2021.
