The Dentist Associations in Trøndelag, the County dentist, and the dental assistant's association register a great need for authorised dental assistants in Trøndelag. A company survey from NAV and a dialogue with the branch confirms this. It is very challenging to find skilled labour for permanent positions, temporary positions, and temporary staff positions. The lack of qualified labour means that the branch must employ unskilled labour. The dental assistant's association means that, in addition to the current lack of qualified labour, there will be a need for a further 30-40 new dental assistants in the next ten years to cover positions that become available due to people retiring.

NAV would like to procure a course that consists of the first year sixth form education health and growth subject, the second year sixth form education health and service subject, the third year sixth form education dental assistant subject, and the common core subjects.

NAV has entered into a collaboration with the dentist association in Trøndelag in order to ensure cooperation before, during, and after the courses. The tenderer will be included in this collaboration.
