Fyresdal, Kviteseid, Nissedal, Seljord, Tokke and Vinje Municipalities have together established a first line service for persons who want to set up a business in the region, in addition to some joint assignments. The service has been called ‘Start Up’.
The aim of the service is to contribute to the development of business in the region, with emphasis on the establishment of companies with the potential for profitability and development, at the same time that entrepreneurs get help with a realistic clarification of their business idea.
The following main assignments are included in the collaboration initiative:
(a) individual guidance/simple advice and marketing of this service;
(b) contact with business managers in the six municipalities and with West Telemark Council;
(c) contact with Vestfold and Telemark County and other parties under the Start Up umbrella, and the implementation of joint activities as agreed.
West Telemark County is responsible for this service. A contract will now be signed with a tenderer for these services for a new period, starting 1 January 2021.
