With a background in the building and construction industry's need for qualified labour, the purpose of this course is to give participants with the desire to work as a carpenter, regardless of competency background, relevant work experience and the opportunity to start on the road toward a tradesman's certificate in carpentry.
The course provides theoretical education (common core subjects for carpenters) and practical training in workshops/work halls, including courses in hot work, scaffolding course and courses in the use of dangerous tools for the participants that need it. The supplier must obtain an apprenticeship/work experience placements in regular companies for the participants, where each participant and business will be followed-up in a start-up phase. The supplier shall, in collaboration with the individual participant, draw up individual plans for the pathway to a tradesman certificate in carpentry.
Two course locations (north and south). Tenderers can choose to submit a tender for 1 or both of the delivery locations. The competition will provide 1 or to service providers.
